Beautiful Ashton Court is the hub for all our self-guided Sunday walks. The base will be by the show ground, a short stroll from the Church Lodge Car Park, and will be open from 8am – 5pm. Everyone’s welcome, whether you’ve booked onto a walk or not.
It’s the grand finale of the Let’s Walk Bristol Festival and we’re turning it into a celebration with:
- Music by local DJs Revinyl.
- Street food vendors including I Scream Tacos and Slice One Pizza.
- The Coffee Trike
- Free Nordic Walking Workshops
Whatever your age or fitness level there’s a walk for you. Enjoy a leisurely stroll around the Mansion House grounds, set off on a family adventure trail through the Park Estate, take the Bristol Bridges Challenge, or head across Clifton Suspension Bridge on one of three different distance routes.
Sign up in advance for the walk you’re interested in, then register at the hub on the day. All the trails are self-guided and easy to follow. Take them at your own pace, walk with family or friends and stop as often as you want.
Nordic walking workshops
Nordic walking is a popular activity in Bristol and a great outdoor exercise which can help you get fitter, lose weight and improve your mental wellbeing. If you’ve not tried it before, book onto one of the free Nordic walking workshops for a taster of what it’s about.
There’s workshops to suit all ages and fitness levels. Book in advance then register at the hub on the day where you’ll be directed to your Nordic walking meet point.
How to get there
Ashton Court is a scenic 40 minute walk or short bus ride from the city centre. The X1, X2, X6, X7, X8, and X9 are the closet bus stops to the Church Lodge entrance.
If you’re coming by car use the Church Lodge Car Park, Ashton Road BS41 9LX. The entrance is just BEFORE the Ashton pub. A steward will be there to direct you to the hub. DO NOT use the Mansion House car park as it’s a longish walk to the hub from there plus there’s an event taking place in the Mansion House so the car park is likely to be rammed.
