Saturday 2nd October, 9:30 am - 2:00 pm
Beginning at Bath’s Holburne Museum, the first leg of your walk is beside the Kennet and Avon Canal, a historic route which was once used for transporting timber, flour, malt and cheese to London. There’s then a steady climb through fields to Claverton Down and the skyline plateau.
From here you can enjoy six miles of gently undulating ground through woods and meadows with plenty of views. You’ll stop for your packed lunch part way round before heading back via the canal to the start. There is a café at the Holburne Museum and Bath’s historic town centre is a short stroll away.
Please bring your own water and packed lunch. Café refreshments not included. There are public toilets at the start and end of the walk.
Distance: 7 miles
Time: 9.30am – 2pm
Start/finish point: Holburne Museum, Bath
